NÃO ADESÃO A VACINAÇÃO: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

| dc.description.abstract | A vacinação é ação rotineira nos serviços de atenção primária à saúde, com grande influência na saúde da população. Representa expressivo avanço tecnológico em saúde nas últimas décadas, e é considerada procedimento de boa relação custo/eficácia na prevenção de doenças. Sabe-se, porém, que grande parte da população vem deixando de vacinar-se e/ou vacinar seus filhos, o que é evidenciado pela falha da cobertura vacinal, registrada pelos municípios através do programa nacional de imunização (PNI) e pelo retorno de doenças imunopreviníveis já erradicadas, a nível mundial. Objetivo: Identificar as evidências disponíveis na literatura nacional e internacional sobre a não adesão à vacinação. Método: revisão integrativa da literatura que busca sintetizar a produção científica sobre os motivos que levam as pessoas a não se vacinarem e não vacinarem seus filhos. O levantamento bibliográfico de artigos publicados em periódicos indexados foi realizado nas bases eletrônicas: LILACS, SciELO, PubMed e MEDLINE. Resultados: Foram encontrados 1203 artigos, e após a nálise, a amostra final do estudo constituiu-se de 12 artigos, que evidenciaram o medo de eventos adversos e a falta de informação/orientação como as principais causas da recusa vacinal. Conclusão: A pesquisa mostrou a importância de se repensar as estratégias de ações educativas, em especial pelos enfermeiros, para que seja possível uma maior adesão à vacinação pela população. As pessoas possuem conceitos errôneos sobre a imunização, o que reflete na falta de confiança quanto à segurança das vacinas. | en_US |
| dc.description.edition | Vaccination is a routine activity in primary health care services, which greatly influences population health. In the last decades, immunization represents a significant technological advance in health care, and it is considered a cost / effective procedure in the prevention of diseases. However, a large part of the population rejects to immunize themselves and/or immunize their children, which is supported by the failure of vaccination coverage registered by the towns through the National Immunization Program (PNI), and by the appearance of diseases that are vaccine-preventable, previously erridicated in the worldwide. Objective: Systematic reviewed the reasons for non-adherence to a vaccination program based on national and international literature. Method: An integrative literature review of the reasons that lead a person does not get a vaccine or vaccinate his/her children were searched in LILACS, SciELO, PubMed, and MEDLINE web search engines. Results: In total, 1203 references were rendered from the web search engines. After quality control, the final set of studies consisted of 12 references. In summary, those references concluded that the fear of side effects/advent events and the lack of information/guidance are the main causes of vaccine refusal. Conclusion: This study showed that people have misconceptions and/or misunderstandings about immunization, which reflects a lack of confidence in the safety of vaccines. With that being said, greater adherence to vaccination by the population would be possible by rethinking educational action strategies, especially by nurses. | en_US |
