| dc.description.abstract | Recentes acidentes envolvendo barragens de contenção de rejeitos de mineração e de resíduos industriais vêm despertando a atenção para estas estruturas, que crescem cada vez mais com o aumento da produção industrial. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo compreender as causas de tais eventos a partir do contexto histórico sobre a origem das barragens, legislações que versam sobre o seu funcionamento e, questões relacionadas à segurança do trabalho nesse tipo de atividade. Para tanto, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico afim de discutir o episódio do rompimento das barragens do Fundão em Mariana e do Córrego do Feijão em Brumadinho/Minas Gerais, Brasil. Foi possível perceber que tais desastres causaram impactos agudos de contexto regional, entendidos como a destruição direta de ecossistemas, prejuízos à fauna, flora e socioeconômicos, que afetaram o equilíbrio da Bacia Hidrográfica do rio Doce, com desestruturação da resiliência do sistema. | en_US |
| dc.description.edition | Recent accidents involving are tailings and industrial waste containment dams have been drawing attention to these structures, which are growing with increasing industrial production. In this sense, the present work aimed to understand the causes of such events from the historical context about the origin of the dams, laws that deal with their operation and issues related to work safety in this type of activity. To this end, a bibliographic survey was conducted in order to discuss the episode of the disruption of the dams of Fundão in Mariana and Córrego do Feijão in Brumadinho/Minas Gerais, Brazil. It was possible to realize that such disasters caused acute impacts of regional contex, understood as the direct destruction of ecosystems, damage to fauna, flora and socioeconomic, which affected the balance of the Rio Doce hydrographic basin, with disruption of the resilience of the system. | en_US |
